Dr Sarah Kellett is an experienced Senior Psychologist having qualified from the Doctorate programme at Bristol University in 2010.

Sarah completed her initial psychology undergraduate degree at Loughborough University and stayed in the Midlands to then complete a PGCE in primary education with educational psychology at Leicester University. She then went on to teach in Gloucestershire where an interest in additional needs led her to complete a postgraduate qualification in Specific Learning Difficulties with the AMBDA accreditation. Her interest in SEN led her to being a SENCo before then applying for the Doctorate programme.

In her practice as an EP, Sarah started working for Worcestershire Local Authority where she supported pupils with a wide range of additional needs and helped schools develop inclusive practices. More recently, she has worked as a freelance EP within Worcestershire supporting a range of school settings, including specialist schools, Pupil Referral schools, Autism bases as well as primary and secondary schools. Sarah uses solution-focused and positive psychology approaches in her consultations and recognises the importance of empowering key staff around the young person.

To complement her work as an EP, Sarah has also completed training in Video Interactive Guidance (VIG), a diploma in Therapeutic Play and more recently completed an MSc in Occupational Psychology. She has a keen interest in staff wellbeing in schools having completed research in this area.

Outside of work, Sarah loves gardening, is a regular runner and is frequently found running the Malvern trails near where she lives. She also volunteers for Oxfam events and for the RSPCA by fostering cats and kittens before they are then adopted into their forever home.
